Rapid Fire?Volume 2

As much as I love sharing instructional, informational videos with all of you, let?s be honest?the real fun happens when Chris and I strip down (figuratively, of course ;)) and are put completely on the spot with some hilarious, off-the-wall questions. Our Rapid Fire segments are by far my favorite videos to shoot + share. This time around we let our dear friend and sister-in-law, Taylor, handpick some completely random, silly questions to fire off to Chris and me, and the result was pure comedy!

To find out who takes the trash out around our casa, which of us is messier, and what Chris? ultimate cheat day looks like, you?ve gotta watch the video! It?s too fun to miss out on. ?

Have an amazing idea for a rapid fire question? Any burning questions about Chris or me? Leave ?em in the comments section below, and you just may find them in an upcoming vid!

  1. Team Powell- I’m just learning and very excited to tackle carb cycling. I have been working on it this week, but have a question about early morning workouts & the need to eat breakfast 30 mins after waking. I usually wake at 5:15a for a run of 4-5 miles at 5:45a. I usually have a small snack of 1/3 of a banana and about a tbsn of peanut butter. When I return I eat my breakfast, Should I try to eat more before or how do you handle early morning workouts? Should my snack be different for a low/high carb day? I have found as I have gotten older, I need some fuel before I head out the door. Many thanks.

  2. Hi, I’m on day one of carb cycling using Choose More, Lose More for Life doing the Turbo Cycle. I did my 9 minute mission, 5 minute cardio. drinking water, had breakfast and I’m eating my snack now. My question is, when do I eat fruit? Thanks!

  3. Hi There. I’m reaching out because of pure desperation to get help with my massive weight. I currently weigh 600 pounds and have been to the doctor including hospitalizations for morbidly obese related issues over the years. As my doctor and a hospitalist recently said to me, I’m on my “last leg” resulting in eventual death because i have not found a definitive solution to rid myself of all the excess weight. I’m scared, im broken, i have three girls at home and my wife is my full time care giver. Im only 35 years old but as i said previously i need to change please.

    Sincerely,

    Matt Entizne

Please help me if you can!

    1. Hi Matt: Thank you for your comment and for sharing a bit of your story with us. Chris and Heidi truly wish they could personally help everyone who needs their help, but since they can’t, they’ve put all their carb cycling tools in this blog post for all of us to use to achieve our transformation goals: https://heidipowell.net/9060. And as with any nutrition and exercise program, please discuss this program with your healthcare team first, and then follow any modifications they recommend. Make and keep that first promise, choose a cycle, and go! We wish you the best – you can do this!

  4. What is the difference of soluble fiber and insoluble fiber? which one do I want or both and do I deduct that from my carbs?
    Thanks

  5. These rapid fire videos are hilarious!! But I do have a question. I remember seeing recommendations or guidelines for choosing a protein powder somewhere, but now I can’t find it. Do Chris and Heidi have guidelines on how many grams of protein & carbs should be in the powder (or have a brand that they like)? Thanks!

    1. Hi Kristen: Chris and Heidi recommend low fat, whey-based protein powders with between 15-20 grams of protein and less than 5 grams of carbs per serving. Hope that helps! ?

  6. It’s a man thing… my husband doesnt know how to put a bag back in the can either 🙂
You two are the cutest 🙂

  7. My Question for you is this….Where would you start to retrain someone like me that @ age 57….has been overweight since my first child was born 37 years ago??? I have been faithfully married for almost 40 years and have been a Christian longer then that….so what can I do to become faithful to myself with this weightloss journey? Or am I past helping? I am so tired of starting over…is it possible for me to find success with this?

    1. Hi Pam: Yes, it is possible! Chris and Heidi have put all of their tools in their new book, “Extreme Transformation” (http://amzn.to/1RKDIgo), for all of us to use to achieve our transformation goals. You can learn about the basics of their program here: https://heidipowell.net/9060. And besides 21 days’ worth of meal and exercise plans, they have also included 21 days’ worth of life lessons that will help you figure out that side of weight loss in this book. You can start today by following the info and links in this post – make and keep that first promise to yourself, choose a cycle, and go! You can do this!

    2. Pam,
This is a great program for you. I am 51, wife of the same man for 27 years. I have been a Christian for almost 40 years. I have 7 children. After the first 2 I lost my weight but the next three came in 3 1/2 years and I never lost the weight. I have been doing carb cycling for 13wks now. I have lost 16.4 pounds and have 19 more to go. I have tried a lot of diets, etc… with little success. I hope this is an encouragement to you. Have a blessed day!
