What Tunes Am I Working Out to This Summer?

Yes, I do work out to some slow jams! 🙂

  1. Bruno Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox Album: Locked Out of Heaven, Show Me, If I Knew, Money Make Her Smile, Treasure [although I could do without the bad word at the beginning!). Nearly his entire Unorthodox Jukebox album is on my playlist. So many great tunes, I can’t name’ em all.
  2. Alicia Keys?Girl on Fire: Talk about motivation to be the best woman I can be!! Makes me wanna move mountains!
  3. The Lumineers: Stubborn Love
  4. Taylor Swift (yes, T-Swift): I Knew You Were Trouble reminds me too much of Cashy?s beautiful mischeviousness :). That little man is TROUBLE!
  5. Imagine Dragons? Night Visions Album: Another great album with SO many great tunes on here. On Top of the World?Awesome beat J. Kind of Lion King-ish and super fun! Radioactive, It?s Time, Hear Me, Demons, Every Night, Underdog, Bleeding Out, Working Man are some of my faves.
  6. Muse ? Madness: Chris and the kids?all day long??M-m-m-m-mad-madness, M- m-m-m-mad-madness? is what I hear. Love them. Love this song because of them.
  7. One Republic ? Feel Again: Gives a great feeling!
  8. One Republic ? I Lived: Reminds me to live life to it?s fullest ? it?s short?far too short.
  9. Pink & Nate Ruess ? The Truth About Love: Completely totally obsessed with this woman?s voice. She can?t put out a bad song, in my book. This song is solid though.
  10. Phillip Phillips ? Home: A reminder that home is where the heart and the family is. Sometimes this is a house, and sometimes it?s a hotel room. 🙂

  1. This is the blog post that I selected as my entry for the autographed copy of the new book by Chris. I feel music has the ability to give you that extra push you sometimes need when working out. My music choices depend on my mood. Some of my staples are Foo Fighters, Pink, and Rob Zombie. When I am feeling particularly intense or motivated, I depend on Pantera to help get me through. The main thing is variety. I can’t listen to any one artist for too long or I get bored. 🙂

  2. I picked this blog entry to enter in the contest for the book giveaway because music is so critical for me when I am at the gym. Music keeps me going and I can push myself farther and longer with the right music. I needed a new playlist. Thank you!!

  3. This is the blog I choose to enter the contest for an autograph copy of Chris Powell’s book. I believe that having the right playlist can change to way you workout. With fresh new upbeat songs, it makes you forget about the time when you are working out and gives you a boost when needed. Your picks are great Heidi. I have a lot on you pick already on my list and now I have new ideas to make my next run more fun.
