Congrats to Mer Bear!

[slideshow_deploy id=’2027′]

What a year it?s been, huh? And for some crazy reason, I feel like we?re still going! It?s because we are ? you killed it this year, Meredith, and hit the goal you always knew you would. You weighed in at 155. But your journey is far from over!

Up next for us? Surgery, recovery, and (the most difficult part) maintenance.

You can do this, and you will do this. If anyone has shown us what hard work and patience looks like, it is you. Over the course of some pretty huge life challenges this last year (and the many years before), you exemplified these two virtues.

When we said ?jump? you asked ?how high? ? when we said ?not now for surgery? you said ?I understand? and you were only driven to work harder. Your trust in our process was pretty incredible.

Your openness with your personal struggles urges me to be the same way.

You are a beautiful woman, Meredith. I am a lucky girl to be able to call you a friend. AZ won?t be the same without you ;).

Love,

Heidi

  1. Meredith is absolutely incredible!!! She is someone I would sure like to know and call a friend. Wish the whole bunch of you could come to my house for dinner and a visit!

  2. Meredith is AMAZING. Such a great inspiration!!! Had me in tears by the end of the show!!! Keep up the great work Meredith!!!! And keep up the great work Powell Family!!!!

  3. Meredith was absolutely fantastic! She had the BEST attitude. I really enjoyed this episode because it was wonderful seeing someone with such a phenomenal attitude, and even more fantastic to see how hard Meredith worked, ultimately achieving her goal. And I was absolutely astounded she hit the exact goal she was striving for; what are the odds of that? Meredith was such a joy and I loved seeing her hit her goal. Also, your hubby is an incredible and very encouraging and supportive. Love the show!

  4. Beautifully said… I was definitely inspired! I have both of Chris Powell’s books, and just started the turbo cycling on Monday (6/3/13). I used to weigh 342, but had gastric bypass in ’04 and lost a little over 200 lbs. I had 4 children in between then and now, and have gained back 100 lbs… So, I’m just starting the journey to healthier me! Thanks for all that you and your husband do for others… you inspire me! Praying blessings over you and your family and the baby in the oven 😉

  5. I watched last night with my mom, and we were both in tears! Meredith did such an amazing job in her transformation, and it was so inspiring watching her. Such positive self-talk–she pumped herself up along the way and made running look so easy 🙂 Love the show, Love the Powells, Congratulations Meredith–can’t wait till next Tuesday 🙂

  6. I absolutely love your show! It has been so inspirational and has helped me get in shape and lose 36 lbs so far! Still have about 30 to lose, but I’ll get there. Thank you so much for everything you do. Congrats on the baby! I’ll be moving to AZ in a few months. Can’t wait to have year round good weather to exercise in! 🙂

  7. OVERALL an amazing woman for the goals and strive that Mer has! You did so well and never gave up. Keep up the healthy life style 🙂 You had a great team behind you as well. Hope to one day meet all three of you.

  8. Congratulations again – to both of you! Meredith for dreaming big and reaching your goals (26.2 = no joke!) and Heidi for gaining a new lifelong friend. Watched every minute of the episode with tears in my eyes.

  9. You are my inspiration. This morning I weighed in at the exact weight you did and my goal has always been 145-150. I know I can do it and it will take its toll on me but I am worth it and will do it. Thanks for being so amazing lastnight.
