Rapid Fire Volume 4: Powell Pack Expansion?

Sometimes, by the end of a long day of shooting, Chris and I get a little stir crazy?which either results in a lot of fun or the need for some marriage counseling (lol…but seriously). I think this fourth installment of our Rapid Fire series proves that on this particular day, we were anything but cranky and maybe a little bit too crazy!! Seriously, you’ve gotta’ know Chris is missing his nap time when he starts to suggest the Powell Pack may be growing! We keep this Q&A light and quick with a touch of random and silly to keep it interesting.

To find out the answers to some of our readers not-so-burning questions like: Salty or sweet? Night owl or early bird? And whether or not Chris and I will be expanding the Powell Pack, check out the vid above.

P.S. One of us wants more kids. One of us doesn’t. Can you guess who??

  1. I just watched Extreme Weight Loss show casing Ryan. That was the best one- for me- ever.
I loved Ryan’s heart especially during the 43 mile bike ride. Ryan and Chris are such inspirations.
I am truly touched. I was feeling a little sluggish during my workouts, but after watching Ryan I am stepping up my workouts and drive. I love this show and TLC. Kudos to Mr. Driver such love and compassion. Go Ryan now and forever.!!!!!

  2. Hitting the BIG 50 in 3 months. I want to look hot for myself and of course my hubby. I eat well and also hit weight goal now The question is how do I maintain the weight and build nice lean muscle mass and maintain my weight ?

I do not belong to a gym but have free weights in a workout bench never seen this question asked in the past hoping you could help

  3. Hi, my name is Rosi 🙂 from Norman, Oklahoma.
I’m trying to apply for season 6 casting, but the link to apply sends me to a not found page, do you have the correct link?

    1. Hi Rosi: Casting is currently closed, so that’s why the link isn’t working. But you can begin your transformation today with the same program Chris and Heidi use on the show! Learn about their carb cycling program here: https://heidipowell.net/9060. You can do this!

  4. Hi Heidi and Chris. My name is Linda and i will be 61 June 21. At 30, I was about 180 then bad marriage and relationships happened. I am a true “yo-yo dieter”. May 12, 2010, I had gastric band surgery and went from 308 down to 220. I am 5’7″ and used to play sports growning up. In 2 1/2 years, my weight went back up to 292 plus. I have managed to get down to 275 in a month and a half. My major obstacle is I have degenerative disc disease in my back/neck. I don’t know who could help me with a great exercise program at this time in my life. I would love input from both of you. Thank you for time and attention.

  5. I have just recently started watching some shows and funny enough Heidie you remind me of my niece Brandy and your husband reminds me of Brandy’s husband Mike. While I was looking at Mike’s Facebook page as scrolling through some pictures low and behold is your husband is with him, his name is Mike Dolce he’s a fitness trainer as well.
Unfortunately he’s not close by me they live on West Coast and I’m on the East Coast. Besides he would not want to train me, I would say I might be moving at a slower pace then those young people he trains, lol.
I do need help with weight loss and have some permanent injuries after being hit by a car while being a passanger on a motorcycle, these hurdles make things hard for me. I not giving up I will continue to watch your both and learn.
Anyway in case you see Mike and Brandy you tell them Aunt Dawn says hello.
    Thanks

    1. Hi Dawn: Thank you for your comment! If you’re interested, here’s a post that outlines Chris and Heidi’s carb cycling program: https://heidipowell.net/9060. And as with any nutrition and exercise program, please discuss this program with your healthcare team first and then follow any modifications they might recommend. You can do this!

  6. Hello my name is Malina. Love you guys! I have you latest book from Kindle. I use the My Fitness Pal app as well as the Garmin Vivosmart hr. My current weight is 183. My height is 5’3. I want to lose 2 lbs a week or more. My fitness pal set my daily calories at 1200. When I excercise it adds more calories to my daily goal.

    1. Hi Malina: We don’t eat back any calories we burn through exercising, or add them to our daily calorie goal. We subtract those burned calories from our daily calorie consumption. It works like this: calories consumed – calories burned = calorie deficit (lose weight) -or- calorie surplus (gain weight). Hope this helps!

  7. Hi my names Derek McAdams i struggled off and on with my weight since my teens. When i was 17 i went from 225 pounds to 170 pounds o
In two mounths but i starved myself to get there which left me looking skinny but still with a lot of fat in my stomach when i take off my shirt. I met my wife like that but shot up to 270 pounds but went down to 190 this time the healty way but i got to close to my healthy weight but still fat so i put on muscle shot back up to 270 pounds but still the same amount of fat as when i lost the weight i feel great now but just want. to get that last but of fat off but dont know how

  8. Ugh the struggle is real. We need more kids to come down to good families but the husband thinks we have done our part :((

  9. I am trying to start meal prepping but am new to it. Do you have any advice or links that could help me out? I’m a newlywed and am trying to start my husband and I first year staying healthy instead of gaining. So far, it hasn’t gone well. Exercise has been easier for us to keep up but our diet is not healthy and we are gaining instead or losing. Bc we like routines, I thought meal prepping could help and keep us on the right track.

  10. I’ve been trying to contact you guys for a while I’m a 16 year old dude 315 pounds I really want your help I’m Juan I can’t keep a diet I’m sure you guys could help me please contact me @ 1-847-867-6910 -Or- [email protected] please and thank you

    1. Hi Juan: Here’s a post where Heidi talks about teens and weight loss, and I hope it can give you some ideas you can use to develop healthy habits that will benefit you throughout your life: https://heidipowell.net/7201/. The most important things you can do are eat healthy foods and work out regularly. And if you haven’t done so already, chat with your healthcare team about this and have them help you put a program in place that will help you reach your goals. They are the best ones to help you since they can work with you on a one-on-one basis. You can do this!
