  1. Heidi: 1. congratulations on the baby. questions is regarding health. I have a gym membership I utilize and slowly the weight is coming off. What I would like to know is how to I keep my body as a fat burning machine with my eating plan?

  2. Hi Heidi,

You two are so great at what you do. I’m a 42 year old that has won first place in novice and debut in bodybuilding but I want to take it to the next level and win over all! It’s so hard to lose all that body fat and I haven’t been able to keep as lean as I wanted to on my off season. Is there any words of wisdom you can give me.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

  3. Hello, I recently started the classic cycle, I read your book Choose more, lose more fore life, and it said that for women we should stay between 1200 – 1500, but I’m 6 ft tall and 322 lbs, should I still eat that little calories or should I follow the men’s guidelines until I get smaller?

  4. Hello,
I started the Turbo cycle last week. I lost four pounds by my Saturday weigh in. I was sooo excited. This week (my second week) I gained two as of this morning (Saturday again). What happened? I’m concerned my reward day last Sunday made me put back on two of the pounds I lost and I was unable to lose them again this week. I’m so sad. I did exactly what I did the first week this week. 1200 cal on low carb, 1500 on high carb and 30 min of exercise. Last Sunday on reward day I ate 2000 calories. I didn’t even go up to the 2400 allowed. Does that mean I should skip tomorrow’s reward day? Maybe reward days don’t work for me? I’m so lost and Zi really really want this to work. So badly that I stuck to the plan this week on vacation. I brought all my food with me and ate it and only it. This is very perplexing. Please help me figure out what’s wrong.
    Thank you!

  5. Hi Heidi! First let me start by saying you look fabulous and are such an inspiration! I do have a question for you… I was on a healthy journey, lost 38lbs in 3 months working out and doing the weight watchers program… until i lost my grandma who i was very close with ~ after 3 months of sadness I gained 7lbs back. I’m finally getting my motivation back but have just found out i’m about 4 wks pregnant! Is it safe to workout aggressively? I was giving it 110%, feeling like i got my butt kicked after most workouts (in a good way)… if I wasn’t pregnant I would say i have 50 lbs to lose to get to a healthy weight ~ HELP!!!!! You’re husband is also very inspiring to me too, you both are a great team together!!!!

  6. I have RA and was hit by a drunk driver when I was younger so my legs are always swollen with edema, knees are messed up, in lots of pain. I started gaining weight when I was 17 last couple of months of pregnancy I gained 100 lbs. Had 4 children and same with all of them. I finally found a doctor that is giving me thyroid pills because of my symptoms. I have lost some inches. I am over 500 lbs and just want to know where do I start? The gyms tell me I am too big to go there. I have had to get on disability and now just stay home and have gotten to the point I can’t even walk. It hurts just too much. I want to live for myself and my kids. Please help me with any advice! I want my life back, at least some kind of life.

    1. If you have book #2 – Choose More, Lose More for Life, simply pick out the plan that works best for your personal situation. There is no “personalization” formally needed. You pick your plan, pick your recipes, and go! Hang out on my facebook page for some great community support.

  9. Hello Heidi,

I am just beginning my weight loss journey. I have about 75 lbs to lose and am 5’2″. I have taken a few Zumba classes and step classes. And I try walking a couple times a week also. I lose my breath and stamina VERY quickly, though I have been told I recover very quickly. Would using a rowing machine be a good place to start, to improve my aerobic capacity & burn calories?

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Sara

    1. All of those are great. The more you work out, the more your stamina will increase so keep at it. You can do this! 🙂
