Sexy Summer Shoulders

Shoulders are some of the most neglected muscles in the body. We spend so much time in the gym trying to tone our tummies with abdominal exercises, but what we don?t realize is that by focusing on this incredibly noticeable muscle group, we could start solving some of our total body problems!

How you ask? Here?s a little secret of mine that I?ve been keeping for a while now?by increasing the size of our upper body muscle groups (shoulders), we minimize the appearance of our waistline! This optical illusion trick is one of the best-kept secrets to creating the shape we all want 🙂 .

So let?s build some sexy shoulders!

Top 3 Sexy Shoulder Exercises

**Shoulder is made up of 3 different parts: the front delt, the lateral delt, and rear delt. We?re going to hit all three parts to sculpt the perfect shoulder caps.

  1. Push up (front delt)
  2. Overhead press (for the lateral delt)
  3. Seated Rear Delt Raises (for the rear delt)

Complete 4 sets of 15 of each exercise.

Throw this workout into the mix 2 days a week to start building your perfect shoulders!

  1. Heidi, I bought dumbbells just so I could do this exercise! I separated my shoulder when I was 13 years old and it has been a problem for 12 years – and then on top of that I dislocated a rib 2 years ago on the same side as my bad shoulder. I definitely need to start focusing on keeping my shoulder and upper body in shape so I stop injuring myself!

  2. I want to post a comment to this article https://heidipowell.net/227/i-am-perfect/# , but I can’t find how… I just want you to know, that this words were the most touching words from your posts 🙂 You explained us so gentle and honest that also you and chris, our big IDOLS, are humans!! 😉 Yes we know that, but it’s hard to imagine, that you are not perfect, when we see you in TV being stunning 🙂 …and happy all the time with perfect family etc. Women are often confused why is it impossible to look sexy at each moment of the day like TV stars :)) Well thank you Heidi and pls write more articles about this topic (women thoughts I would say), it made my day 🙂 All the best! 4. This article reminds me of what I used to be. I once was ACSM, ACE and Apex certified. I was a trainer and taught many many water aerobics classes for some time. I’ve always been pretty athletic, but I allowed life to get the better of my weight but more, my health and mind set. It’s still a struggle but I’m getting back on track and this just reminded me of what I once was and will be again. Thank you Heidi (and Chris) for the energy you have and share with us all. This is why I picked this post… it just brought back memories.
