Personal trainer Chris Powell and his wife Heidi Powell are back for their fourth season of?Extreme Weight Loss, and this time they are joined by Doctor Holly Wyatt, a nutritional expert.

Extreme Weight Loss?is a documentary reality series that follows the lives of 13 dangerously obese men and women who train with Chris and Heidi in an attempt to lose a lot of weight over the course of a year in order to have healthier, happier lives. “We’ve totally changed the premise of the show,” Chris reveals. “I mean, before, I used to go out to actually live with out people. Now we bring them to us.”

One of the more stand-out cases is a 15-year-old named Kate who weighs 265 pounds. “People don’t want to be friends with the fat girl,” Kate says in an emotional interview.

Heidi adds, “She’s 15 years old. There’s still a lot of training that she’s so open to.”

According to the show, the doctors will help the participants lose the weight safely and in ways that will discourage them from gaining the weight back after the end of the program.

Doctor Wyatt is the medical director of the University of Colorado’s Anschutz Health and Wellness Center. The participants will be spending the first three months of their weight-loss journey at the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center as their metabolisms are examined and health checks are performed to keep them safe and on the right track.

The new season of?Extreme Weight Loss?begins May 27 on ABC.
