Fashion Favorite: I Have Nothing to Wear!

heidi-nothingtowear.lr

You know that feeling when you wake up in the morning, head to your closet, look around, and you feel like you have NOTHING to wear? That seriously is the story of my life. Between chasing my kids around, working on the show, and everything else in between, there’s just about no time at all to spend putting together an outfit. As much as I would love to devote some time to finding the perfect outfit, with my schedule, it is just not happening, so for the most part, I have to stick to basics I can just throw on and go without thinking twice.

As little time as I have to put together an outfit, I have even LESS time to spend shopping. The majority of my clothes are super old or things I’ve been given over the years. Making time to head to the mall and work on my wardrobe is a rarity, so snagging a few things online is my only option. I recently discovered this amazing shirt from Cents of Style and I am obsessed! I found a bunch of shirts I love from this site, but this one really SPEAKS to me. Super comfy, perfect fit, and it’s my life in a nutshell…I really don’t have anything to wear!

Xoxo,

Heidi

You could sign up at stitchfix.com, create your fashion profile, and they will send you a box of clothing and accessories each month for $20. Keep what you like, return what you don’t. Obviously you then pay for what you keep, but it’s a time saver!

I just read a blog post about the answer to your problem. A company that sends you clothes based on a few answers to some questuons. Even connects to your Pinterest board if you want. Here’s the post. http://fantabulosity.com/wardrobe-dream-come-true
It sounds like it is worth a shot. I’d love to know if it is as good as it sounds too!

Hi Amy: Your watercolor paintings have been received and a team member will get them to Chris and Heidi. Thank you 🙂

As a Professional Organizer, I hear that ALL the time. 😉 You need foundation pieces in neutrals that suit you, then add colour from there. You don’t need a lot of clothes to make an outfit. Good luck.

    Heidi, you’re the cutest!

That’s OK. I’d rather be happy in my own skin then having to find that perfect outfit to impress others. When life becomes about the materialistic things, that’s when people forget about who they once were. That’s what I love about you and Chris, you guys are normal. It’s never to impress, it’s always about what’s inside. You guys open your hearts & lives to us without the facade. You both are truly amazing! Keep changing one life at a time on the big screen, I’m sure in the homes many lives are changing.

Heids, either you were oddly short on this particular day or that door handle is awesomely high!

      LOL, that’s cute! 🙂

Likely its a backyard door that backs to a pool. If the handle is up high, the Powell pack kiddos can’t open the door and get out to the pool alone. 😉
