Rad Boy, Rad Shirt!

CashRadCOSLR

This shirt! I don’t think a more appropriate one exists for my Cashy boy. RAD, he is indeed. And here is why:

1. Cash makes Daddy proud as our little patriot. He learned the National Anthem AND “God Bless America” by the age of 2! Most adults (myself included) have a hard time with these words!

2. Avocados and egg whites are some of his favorite foods! #luckymom

3. If you spend a day with Cash, he will surely proclaim his love for you at least 15 times. He’ll also tell you a handful of times how “norgeous” (gorgeous) you are. Clearly, Daddy teaches him well.

4. When we stop to talk to anyone at all, Cash is sure to extend his hand for a handshake and say, “Nice to meetchu!” to whomever it is! He’s quite the personable character :).

5. Cash has more rhythm than a 3-year-old should ever have. His hip shaking rivals Shakira, I believe.

6. He is ridiculously smart and annunciates his words clearer than I do!! At the ripe old age of 3, he uses phrases like, “Mmmm, Mmmmmm!!! Delicioso!” and “What…is dat AMAZING smell, Mommy?” or “Let me give you an EPIC kiss!” Ahhh…love him!

7. It’s impossible to be in a bad mood around this little man. No joke…just try it. I have YET to meet one person (even the grumpy man in the elevator in Hawaii last December) that Cash CANNOT crack a smile on!!! He could make even Scrooge happy.

8. He is SUCH a sweet brother to his siblings. “Ruby, you’re so cute…you’re my princess,” or “Mars, I love you,” or “Maggots (Matix), you’re da BEST BROTHER EVER!!!”

9. He lives life totally unfiltered. In an instant, and no matter who is watching…he will break into song, dance, or even hop into character and start reciting lines from his favorite shows. If only we were all so free-spirited. I hope this “confidence” never leaves him, no matter what others might say thoughout his life :).

10. Cash’s world is happy, funny and totally RAD. I’m grateful as a mommy that my little man lives in this place 24/7!

I know each and every one of our littles have RAD inside of them. Tell me in the comments below what make yours so RAD…

PS – Cents of Style?…you nailed it with this RAD shirt!?I’m buying 10…so we never run out :).

Xoxo,

Heidi

  2. I have 3 rad boys and 1 rad girl. My youngest son (3) has downs syndrome and has hit all his milestones within the “normal” age range. I owe this to his two older brothers who have always helped been there to push him past his comfort zone and his little sister who doesn’t let him fall behind. I feel extremely blessed to have these four little people in my life.

  3. My little Logan will be four this week. He has cerebral palsy and has beat every odd!. The doctors predicted he would never walk or talk. They said he would need a feeding tube indefinitely. He talks, sings, runs (with braces) and only has his feeding tube a short time longer because hes still aspirating some fluids…but eats all table food. He has never once let anyone tell him he can’t do anything. He always has a smile. Even when the outcome for him isnt bright. He lives to the fullest and challenges me to be a better person every day. He’s a world changer!

    1. Hi Heather: Thank you for sharing your little Logan with all of us – he’s definitely an inspiration! 🙂

  4. Cash is gorgeous! Those eyes! I am blessed through adoption with a 4 yr old little RAD girl and a 6 month old little boy who is also quite RAD himself. 🙂 lol My daughter does things each day to endear herself to me (as does the little guy) but the other day she was playing with my Kindle and was scrolling through the books that I have on there and she says.. “Mommy!!! I found it! Your favorite show!” It was your hubby! She found the book I bought for my kindle a few weeks ago. 🙂 lol They are always watching and paying such close attention!

  5. He looks just like you Heidi and Chis together, A perfect blend. Thank you for sharing your little man with us. You gave such an enjoyable description of him. I have 5 amazing Grandkids that make me tremble with joy. Each one has such distinct and wonderful character. My life is complete because of them. And THANK YOU for your inspiring show. My daughter and I and all 5 Grandkids watch Extreme Weight loss each week.

  6. CASH IS ADORABLE! Our youngest daughter is 6 now but still has the same spunk. Sings with all her heart, dances like nobody’s watchin and constantly stops what she’s doing to give me a kiss and say I love you mommy..I hope she never changes!! Thanks for sharing I just love the Powell Pack!!

  7. Cash is so adorable. My son is turning 14 in a couple of weeks. The years gone in the blink of an eye but the memories remain. My Colin is growing into a fine handsome young man. He is smart and kind, always doing well in school. Nothing he can’t do in life if he puts his mind to it. Love you and Chris and your show. It’s what I watch when I’m loging miles on my treadmill. I fortunately have never had a weight problem and believe diet is excercise is key to a long and healthy life. Recently discovered your carb cycling regime and I must say has taken my weight and fitness to a new level. You ROCK! Hug your babies close and cherish the moments!

  8. I think our boys could be friends. =) He reminds me of 3 1/2 year old son, Linus. I especially love hearing the funny phrases he says (“epic kiss”…that is priceless!). My little guy doesn’t know the Pledge of Allegiance yet, but he can recite a few Bible verses and quote several books or shows. And his current aspiration is to grow up to be a real knight. Don’t you love this age?! =)

  9. He’s Chris’s Mini Me!!! What a cutie!!! Wish we could all hold to that carefree spirit….just break out in song, dance, and skip whenever the mood hits us!!!!
