This year I am pushing myself to test my mental and physical capacity, I am entering into my 3rd year of college while raising 3 young children. Last year I quit smoking and began exercising and eating healthier, with that said, I didn’t push myself. I want to enter a mud run and/or a sprint-tri at the end of this year. I know this will take every ounce of dedication and self discipline I can muster, and I believe this year is the year for me!
This year to challenge myself physically and mentally I am entering in more 5ks and hope to do the tough mudder by the end of the year. I have been struggling with weight loss for the past 2 years.. i will lose weight, get stuck and give up. I did my very first 5k in November 2013 and I got hooked. When I do my runs I dedicate them to my dad who lost his left leg in Iraq in 2008. I know he would be right there next to me running these 5ks if he could. My next 5k is March 22 in houston tx and these shoes sould be great for it. Good luck to everyone who entered.
I could so use a new pair. I started my get healthy and fit before I turn 50 last July. I got a personal trainer and she is awesome. I call her my Chris Powell. She is so supportive and makes me feel good !!!! You both are inspiring. This year I want to do another obstacle course, 10k, and half marathon……I was very unheLthy and overweight…..I am in my way and have list 30 lbs and many many inches. I can run now lift weights, cardio, isometrics and feel amazing. I’m not done yet but am loving this journey and life !!!!
As an athlete, I have always managed to stay thin and somewhat fit, despite not-so-healthy eating habits. But over the last year and a half, I have gained 45 pounds. I was diagnosed with asthma and IBS, not to mention my energy levels and self esteem plummeted? Long story short, it was past time to finally be a healthy example for my sweets/snacks/candy-obsessed daughter. Our household and my waistline have already seen many positive changes and have embraced our new lifestyle. And my daughter and I? We are training for our very first Color Run and Marine Mud Run!
I am a group fitness instructor and have been inspired by your family to be sure that my family is healthy and fit.. My husband and I ran in a 5k for my 30th bday this summer, and I want to be able to add in more races each year! My next goal is a Tough Mudder or Obstacles Race. These shoes would be a great support for my goals, and help me to inspire those that I teach as well! Passing along the inspiration! Thank you to you and your family for your hard work and motivation to those of us living fitness with you!

Second and last child almost off to college, I decided last summer to join my husband in TaeKwonDo. Call it a mid-life crisis but loving a good challenge, I immediate began participating in competition TKD and was quickly reminded that outside conditioning was necessary to help with strength, flexibility and stamina. This has challenged me mentally and physically with sprains and broken bones. I am determined to rise to the challenge and to ?kick this obstacle? out of the way. #PowellReebokGiveaway
Chris and Heidi — you’ve both been such an inspiration for me. A few years ago, I decided to take control of my life and my health. I had been through a of stress with school, a new job, moving, and gained a lot of weight. I’m proud to say I’ve lost 35 lbs and am getting healthier everyday! I do cross-training and yoga regularly, and I completed Pat’s Run last year. This year, I want to challenge myself to do a Spartan Race. This will be the best year of my life so far, and I’m determined to make that happen. 🙂

I love to push myself into situations I am not yet comfortable with to expand my knowledge and experience. This includes acting in front of a huge audience, volunteering as a youth counsellor, and getting a job in security work.
My next challenge is completing the Tough Mudder: Toronto 2014 with a group of camp staff I met at a camp for kids with disabilities!
Killin’ it in a pair of new reebok shoes would be amazing!
As a mother 3, I feel I am tested mentally and physically everyday, but what parent isn’t. LOL. Last year, my husband, myself and a few friends ran in a 5k Foam Fest and absolutely loved it. So this year I am testing myself once again to compete in that same Foam Fest and add in a few other obstacle races, a St. Patty’s run and another mud run.
I’m only 31 and I have I have had 4 knee surgeries. I used the knee pain as an excuse to stop running so as a consequence I packed on the lbs. Last year I lost a total of 55 lbs by just watching what I eat, counting calories and I started running again. I now run about 4-5 miles a day 5 days a week. My doctor said I will eventually need a knee replacement after I hit 40 but I am going to use the knee I have for as long as I can. I plan on doing the Bataan Memorial Death March Full Marathon at White Sands NM in March. It was ranked as one of the top 10 toughest marathons in the US by Marathon and Beyond Magazine. The course is 90% mountain desert terrain. I need good shoes to help with the shock absorption and traction to make sure I take care of my knee. These new Rebook shoes look awesome and I would love to try them out for the Bataan and hopefully I can get a chance to do a Spartan race this year too.
