  1. After seeing my boyfriend push himself to his limits mentally, physically and emotionally, I finally realized why he did it. Hearing “Kyle Fredericks, you are an ironman” was the most rewarding thing he has and will ever hear. He has inspired me to get up, push through and be the best I can be. In an effort to follow in his footsteps and create a better life of my own, I have begun training and will complete my first ever spartan race this year. I am determined to complete it and finally prove to myself that I can do anything I set my mind to.

  2. So last year I tried my first crossfit class and was instantly hooked. It has taken me some time but I have made some awesome improvements. This year I decided to try out for the all Womens competition team at my box. It has definitely been a challenge and I am slowly making improvements. I decided to join simply because I want to get even better. There is still much improvement to be made and what better way for me to get there with other like minded women. I am excited to see where I will be a few months down the road since we just started this month. I am also signed up for a 5k mud run just for the challenge and the fun. I’m so excited for what the future holds!!!

  3. My whole life I have been struggling with my weight. I was never very athletic as a kid but one I had kids of my own I wanted to set a good example for them and be able to run around with them without struggling. In the last two years I started running 5ks with a friend of mine. This past January I completed my first 10k and have been dabbling in mud obstacle races like the warrior dash. In April on my 36th birthday I will be racing in the tough mudder race. This is an intense 10 mile grueling obstacle race very similar to the spartan race. I am really nervous but am trying to overcome my fears and do my best. Nothing ever gets done watching from the sidelines. Wish me luck! #powellreebokgiveaway

  4. I am doing the dirty girl mud run and going to try a 1/2 marathon because I need to set these goals for myself and once I sign up I have to.

  5. My plan this year is to be more accountable in my fitness journey. I have started the year with a gym membership and 1 day of personal training a week. I’m not much of a runner, but plan to try out a color run 5k and possibly a mud run. My goal is to change the composition of my body and not focus on the # of lbs, but feel and look better as I age.

  6. I just started working out and running in June of 2013. My goal for this year is to run a half-marathon. I’m stay-at-home wife and mother of three little boys, and I’m taking better care of myself un order to be a better mom. Running gives me the alone time that I desperately crave and helps to renew my mind so that I come home stronger, energized, and ready to tackle life again.

  7. I graduated from college with a 4.0 GPA in December. I used to convince myself that I did not have time to workout with so much studying to do. I know now that I should have never made that excuse. This year, I joined a gym and have consistently done cardio and strength training exercises 5 days a week. Fitness is quickly becoming my new passion. In the fall, I will begin graduate school. However this time around I will never let my busy schedule interfere with taking care of and improving myself!

  8. As an obstacle runner I always have trouble finding the right shoe, I’ve done a total of 7 in the past, and all the shoes have failed me. This year I did the spartan sprint the same day as you and Chris did, and i have signed up for Super spartan, and spartan beast, that is my goal this year, to do as many obstacle courses I can accomplish, not only physical obstacles but mental as well and complete my trifecta medal.
