Working in the construction industry is very stressful and time consuming. Since working full time 6 years ago I didn’t make time for my health and fitness. This year I’ve dedicating to getting back in shape and will be getting my trifecta. it started in PHX (where my wife and I met you and Chris) and it will end in Temecula, CA in sept. AROO!
Hello Powell Family! <3
I'm 17 years old, currently living in Sweden. With Sweden comes snow and for a runner like me this means trouble, unless you have a good pair of shoes. Overweight and miserable, I decided to make a change. I've lost 36 pounds and gained confidence in myself and recently I ran 24k! Running, working out and living healthily makes me feel alive and if I were to win a pair of those amazing shoes I?d be able to run outside more often, even in the winter. I love you guys, thank you for being so inspirational!
Last year I rand my first half marathon with my wife. This year…the full 26.2!! My goal is drop my body fat by 7% to make my 4 hour journey a bit easier. When I was an offensive lineman in high school and college, pull-ups were unimaginable. Monday I rocked 5 sets of 5! We have 3 kids and I want to be here to play with their kids!
I’ve been overweight my entire life. Not just overweight but technically, “Morbidly Obese.” For as long as I can remember, I’ve been the only one in my family who was overweight. It sucked. Then last October, I finally did something about it. It started out a diet, now it’s a lifestyle. In the beginning, I was 243 lbs, currently I’m 187. This April, I have signed up for the Neon Dash-5k. To many, this is nothing. To me, it’s everything. I still have a ways to go, but I’m healthier, happier and more alive than I’ve ever been.
My plan for this year is to be committed. Strive for greatness and hopefully be in the best shape of my life. Chris Powell is an inspiration, and the Bod-E Challenge will make me embrace the struggle in order to reach my goal. Everybody has the potential to be great but I want to be enlighten and be able to help others throughout my story.
This year I told my self to run 5k. I have already sign up for two 5k. I also keep telling myself I can do anything no matter if I have any pain. I am trying to push myself. I weigh 265 and this us the heaviest I have ever been.
This year, I plan to better myself as a black belt improving in strength, discipline, and acrobatics. I’m looking forward to many pushups and situps as well as running to be as fit as possible. I’ve never felt this motivated to get a great healthy start to this year.
This year I will be entering my last year of college to earn a degree in nutrition. I have taken it upon myself to turn my garage into as best a crossfit gym as I can afford and am helping about 5 friends and family members get in better shape. I do full workouts as well as provide nutritional advice. I would love to put these shoes to good use doing more of what Chris does on a much smaller scale!
I had a baby girl this past June 2013 via c section and have been going through a lot in order to loose weight. I have been pushing myself to workout , and I feel that these shoes would be of great benefit for me because I want to use them to loose weight. I for the first time in my life want to run in a marathon and become fit in order to try other things like mud runs etc. I also want to be fit for my daughter and I feel that with these shoes I will be able to conquer my dreams of being fit. I also enjoy doing aggressive workouts and pushing myself and from what I read from your recommendations these would be great for the type of workouts I do. I really hope I win them. Thanks and god bless and thanks for the both of you for always motivating me, you guys are an inspiration
On June 8th (my 33rd birthday) I will be doing the Camp Pendleton world famous mud run (10k) for the third time! The second time I did it I really disappointed myself by nearly giving up and being 60lbs overweight. But this time around I’ve lost the weight IAm determined and the best shape of my life! I have convinced my hubby and a good friend to do this run along side me! I’m so excited to complete this run and be proud of myself!
