  1. I am running a half marathon in April. I am running because I eventually want to run a half marathon in each of the 50 states. I also run for those who can’t, my father was a huge runner when I was growing up and now he is no longer able to run like he used to because of his knees and weight.

  2. I am testing myself by participating in a 5k. My goal is to complete two this year. I can’t run due to some damage in my knee so I am walking. Training for the 5k is giving me a new perspective on all the awesome things my body can do when I give it the fuel it needs!

  3. I decided to do the half marathon this year(montreal). The longest distance I did was 14k. I know it’s hard for me to have motivation (a lot in my agenda) but with a goal like this, it helps :-). I also convince 5 colleagues to join me… I’m close to 40 and want to be at the top of my shape.

  4. I am obese, but know I have the strength to lose weight and get healthy this year. So far, I have lost 28 pounds. My husband is diabetic and also overweight, but we are doing this together.
We have signed up for the Atlanta Spartan race on March 9th and will do our best!!
Thank you Heidi and Chris for all you do. You inspire us all!!

  5. I have been working for the last 4 years at pushing myself mentally and physically to live a healthier life. Holistic wellness has become my passion and with such I will be starting graduate work in health and Fitness so that I can help teach today’s adolescents how to live and grow up healthier. I am also signed up for my second half marathon, 2 more OCRs, the 100 on 100 road race in VT, and I will be volunteering any chance I get. Thank you for your dedication to wellness!

  6. This year I plan on losing weight. Would like to lose around 80 to 90 pds. To start this journey I would like to start walking about a mile then walk up to 6 miles a day. Then work my way up to jogging and running. I need all the mental or physical help I can get. Thanks for all of the inspiration you give…. <3

  7. After having my daughter a year ago I had some complications, which resulted in a year of physical therapy, I became depressed and put on 50lbs. I am now motivated to lose the weight and working on becoming an RN. I just completed my first 5k last week and I’m excited because I’m moving in the right direction!

  8. William Blake once said, “If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is … infinite”. I have opened that door and have set my sights on the Spartan Trifecta this year. Along the way, I intend to drop some weight and become more healthy.
