  1. This year im testing myself by doing the zombie charge 5k a spartan challenge i never finish them. last year i lost my running shoes in the mud. This year i will not give up! Im slowly changing my body and by the time these races come i will be at my prime. I want to be the athlete i know thats in me.

  2. 5 years ago, I weighed well over 600lbs. Now I have lost 400lbs and for the first time in my life, I am healthy. I started running/walking in January (right after two months in the hospital), and am finding that I LOVE the new life I have. I am doing my first 5k in April and cannot wait. Considering at one point in my life I could barely walk to the bathroom, this is a HUGE deal for me! My ultimate goal is to train and do a Tough Mudder as well! 🙂

  3. Last May I set a goal to lose 70 lbs before May 17, 2014. This is the day I, a 35 year old mother to 3 boys and wife for 15+ years, will graduate from college. As of today I?ve lost 67.5 lbs of that goal! I?ll be spending the next few months challenging myself mentally by finishing my college coursework.I will also continue to push myself physically. I am competing in my first 10 K in May. This year I am going to fulfill my dreams of finishing college as well as regaining my physical health!

  4. This March 6th will be my twins first birthday and I think it’s time to finally unleash Sally again by working out and eating right! I have let myself go and I need to stop! Having twins did a number on my body physically and mentally and it’s time to take back my life! I have never done a run before and a goal of mine is to do one and hopefully more then one this year! 🙂

  5. This year I am training to run a 1/2 marathon in the fall and I also am doing 2 obstacles races. I’m gearing up to do Tough Mudder in 2015!

  6. This year it’s finally about getting healthy for me. I have three young girls and I want to show them that living a healthy lifestyle can be fun and is worth it. I have a long road of transformation ahead of me, but I know I’m worth it and I believe that I am finally in the right mindset to succeed. I’ve signed up for my first warrior dash this summer and actually can’t wait to conquer the course!

  7. This year, I’m having my first baby, drug-free (or, so goes the plan!). Does that count as testing my mental and physical capabilities? 🙂 I’ve been training for it like I would train for any athletic endeavor — doing [pregnancy-safe] Crossfit workouts, practicing all sorts of breathing and meditation exercises at home, and visualizing a safe and healthy outcome for all parties involved. I’m surprised by how I feel excited and not nervous to see what my body is capable of in two months.

  8. In the past two years I’ve lost 30 pounds and have made fitness a part of my everyday life. This last year I have become a coach at Kosama in Tempe and am loving being able to give back to people who were where I was 2 years ago. I’ve set a goal to run a race a month this year, including Rugged Maniac, Warrior Dash, BolderBoulder 10K, and my first 1/2 marathon. Trying to become a better me!

  9. In 6 months I turn 40 & I have come to the realization that I have had a lot of “I will start tomorrow” moments. I was going to focus on my health before I turned 25, 30 and 35. There have been many reasons to start but I have never finished. This is my year. I don’t want to regret what I didn’t do because I know I will never regret what I work hard to accomplish. Getting healthy this year is my goal. Challenging myself to try new things and actually accomplishing my goals is happening NOW!

  10. This year I am doing to be doing the Dirty Girl Mudd Run and the Warrior Dash. I am a full time mother and wife and I also manage a sales company full time. I am trying to find new and fun ways to get into the best shape of my life so I can be good to myself but also so I can set a good example for my daughter and family. Next year I hope to be wearing these shoes in all the 5k’s I do and also when I attempt the Spartan Run!
