As a son of two parents with Diabeties and brother of a Diabetic. And in my mid thirties I have see my overweight parents go through a lot. Including my fathers second heart attack. And I have vowed to myself, my wife and my children I will break this cycle. So in January 2014 and at 291.4 lbs I started on the Paleo diet an in Febuary I joined Crossfit317 in my hometown of Indianapolis. Here I have been welcomed and am working hard to shed the weight. I have dropped 20lbs and feel I am on the right track. I love Reebok shoes and have been saving for a pair of Reebok Crossfit shoes. I would love to give these a try this year as my endurance increases and we start running outside.
Thank you, Jason Ball
Registered myself for my first Mud Factor this summer. I am in search of a shoe for this event. This blog is a good start for my search. After losing 65 pounds and getting away from my biggest wait at 250lbs I am ready to take on new challenges like the Mud Factor. Super excited.
Love following you and Chris inspiring others! You make us all want to get up and do it!
I ran sundays heat, had a blast! these would have helped me on that last slippery wall. Still showing the bruises!
Well, this year I made the decision to turn my entire life around. I am a recovering drug addict, I got clean and sober on June 30,2013. I am a stay at home mom to 4 amazing, beautiful children. And I married the most amaing man ever! He is also a recovering addict with 9 years clean. I recently joined a gym to help with my physical well being. I have also signed up to do my first warrior dash this summer! I have had multiple surgeries on my shoulders that has put a lot of strain and loss of muscle, I will regain that muscle. I am determined to live a better life. Everything I am doing this year, and for years to come will be pushing not only my physical body, but my mental state of mind. But I am not alone! I am doing this because I deserve a better life, and my kids deserve a better mother!!
My Story:When I married my husband we both lost our jobs and gained about 100lbs in a year,I never realized we gained the weight until his family started asking me when is my due date…i was not pregnant…I became overweight, which made me cry on a daily basis..not to mention I am a mom but my son is 16 but we have been trying to get pregnant for years and cant so it was like a double stab in my heart.Being tired of being overweight i made a change in January of 2013,I am down 60 pounds and I recently hired a trainer and i am continuing my path to a healthy lifestyle go check out my progress on instagram @gonewiththeweight..winning this would just make me soooo happy..thanks chris and heidi for all you do xo
This is just what I have been looking for. My last pair of good pair of running shoes were eaten by my daughter’s puppy last week while we were puppy sitting.
After many many years of struggling with my health I was finally diagnosed last October with Hashimoto’s disease which is a condition in which your immune system attacks your thyroid. They also found nodules on my thyroid and are not yet sure if cancer is present. I have to get another scan in 3 months. I used to run 1/2 marathons and hike. The disease got worse late last year and I got neuropathy from this terrible disease and could barley walk without being in pain. I am finally getting everything under control and my neuropathy is better where I can now hike and run a little without being in pain. This whole disease has really made me focus on having a good mental attitude about fighting whatever comes my way with this. Hiking has always been a release for me mentally and a great workout at the same time. I would love to win a pair of these shoes and use them on my way to recovery and good health not only mentally but also physically. Thank you 🙂 #PowellReebokGiveaway
My health has been a little nuts over the past two years, almost making me fearful to get out and do stuff (workout, exercise) like I use to. I know some of the health stuff can’t be fixed, but I know exercise and eating right can definitely make things more comfortable and lead to some improvement. I’m building up my mental strength to get over some of my fears and starting to exercise more each day to get my body back where it needs to be and lower some of the stress and anxiety I’ve gathered over these health scares. 🙂 No matter what what you and Chris do is amazing. I love you guys.
Sure could use your help. Lost weight but these last 8-10 pounds are getting the best of me….stick too long
