Thank you for the blog post!
I’m coming down from 271 pounds and keep finding every excuse to give up. I follow you both on Facebook and Pinterest and watch the shows over and over. I’m inspired daily by you both. I’m a second grade teacher and work so many hours but this week I made the decision to walk a marathon on my treadmill. My students have been cheering me on this week. I’m in my last mile with blisters on my feet and more aches and pains that would usually give me my excuse to stop and I’m refusing to. I feel amazing and I’ve thought of you both so many times on my journey this week. Thank you for being such an inspiration. Next week is going to be just as good & I’m looking forward to my first 5k in March. Bless you both for all you do!
This year I am testing my mental capacity. My 2 1/2 year old is going to special classes and therapies because he may be autistic. When I heard the news it hit me like a rock!!! We’ve been doing gluten free, casein free, occupational therapy, developmental therapy and speech therapy. It is SO mentally exhausting. Before we found out I had no idea what autism even was! I just kind of blew it off, but now I am fully aware and have dove head first into information!! I doing everything I physically can to help my boy. So not only mental but physically I am running around all day!! My feet hurt!! Lol thanks for reading!!
I’m starting to fit in heavier weightlifting this year. I’m in my forties and want to be strong! I might not be skinny but I’m headstrong and want my body to match my inner warrior! #PowellReebokGiveaway
This year, I want to run a 5K. In 2007, I was in a massive car accident. I was listed as a fatality and almost lost my leg at my hip. I have been working ever since to rebuild muscle and learn to use my leg with the nerve damage I have. I plan to keep working at it and then train so I can run a 5K in 2014.
While at an all time high in weight (over 300 pounds) 7 months ago I had rotator cuff surgery and 3 months ago I had knee surgery for a torn cartilage. While recuperating I started a Paleo way of eating and have lost 50 pounds so far (I have a lot more to go though). I just got the go ahead to start slow with Crossfit. I think these would do nicely when I start Crossfit. 🙂
I am getting in shape both mentally and physically to better prepare my mind and body to accept pregnancy. After several failed attempts at getting pregnant with the help of fertility treatments, we are taking a break and I am focusing on health. We live in Washington so the hiking is plentiful and we will be doing a lot this spring. For now hiking takes place in the gym.
I feel that I’ve finally found my motivation to get to a healthier weight! I’m planning to do my second 5k run this summer, getting back into yoga and also rotating arms, legs, and core days at the gym. I love you and your husband’s tips and encouragement on Facebook! Thank you!
My focus revolves around pushing the fear voices out of my head and building strength! Fear creates this wall that can disables me and keep me from knowing my own joy. To get there, I am working hard to plan, educate myself, gather support, breath and take that step forward to meet my goal. First steps are not easy but I am excited to have four 5K’s to walk and community bike rides on my list. I can do it! I just don?t fully know it yet but I will!!! Thank you for all that you and your husband do! Have a great day!
I decided to find my inner power this year with weight training. I spent the first 18 years of life being molested by a psychopath and have comfort eaten ever since.
