  1. The goal for me this year are to overcome life challenges! I have taken the steps in my life to become the best person I can be. I have taken the steps to overcome my personal struggle with an eating disorder by learning to love myself, and learning how to take care of myself with proper nutrition and fitness. Throughout this journey to takeback my life, I would love to get to a point where I can participate in a Spartan Run or one of those exciting races. Overcoming these challenges have been mental and physical. #PowellReebokGiveaway

  2. I would love to have a pair of these Reeboks I’ve just started doing the warrior dash and foam runs. My daughter and I tried the tough mudder last year got to the 7. 1/2 mile my daughter jumped off the wall and snapped her ankle in half she’s just starting to walk on it this week after 4months. So I’m sure I won’t be doing another one of those but I’ll be doing others and those shoes would be great.

  3. In the last 6 months I have really changed things up. I used to be a cardio nut that would do over 75 minutes of cardio and then lift. I was what is known as skinny fat. I was thin but had nothing solid on me. Now within the last six months I have started lifting and incorporating crossfit. I am a completely new person. An example of this is are the measuments i took on Nov. 29.2013 i was at 188.40 pounds with a body fat of 30.25% my Lean Mass was 131.40 lbs and my fat mass was 57.00 lbs…today my accomplishments of be at 171.60 my body fat % is at 23.39% lean mass is at 131.47 lbs and my fat mass is 40.13 lbs. I do not have a trainer or anything just hard work and my own research. I can’t afford very much at this time but it would be such an awesome reward to have some new shoes to kick off my journey to get down to about 18% body fat to attempt my first competition. Having a new pair of shoes would do wonders for my box jumps, dead lifts Summo and regular, squats front and back, lunges, & so on. It just helps when you look good you feel good and when you feel good you smash your workouts!

  4. This new year is all about setting and sticking with goals that I set for myself. Growing up, staying fit was easy for me. I ate whatever I wanted without issue, although I was pretty active. Now at 33 and after two kids things just aren’t the same! I’ve put on 80lbs and slowed down my activities. But like I said this year is about making and attaining my fitness goals and getting my life back. I’m watching what I eat and doing a minimum of 45 minutes of brisk walking a day. Everyday gets easier and I go You guys
inspire me to keep moving! Thanks

  5. I started CrossFit about a year ago, I was 182lbs, out of shape, and unhappy. In one year I lost and maintained off 30lbs, lost 4.7%+ body fat, gained Lean muscle and I’m in the best shape of my life. I competed in my first CrossFit competition with a team in Jan. This year my goal is to compete in an individual competition. In a team, you work off one another’s strengths and weaknesses which was a great experience. But mentally and physically I want to challenge myself to do one alone. I want to know where I stand mentally on my own in that kind of setting and physically see how I have grown in CrossFit!

  6. I have become a fitness lover ! I saw extreme weightloss and it changed my life and has challenged in more ways than I could have imagined ! I am now training for my first 5 k ! Thank you for this amazing chance ! Check out my progress and life changes on instagram @georgiadan19

  7. This year I ran my first 10k..in april I will do my first mini duathalon…I have a goal to run a half marathon before the end of 2014…I am doing this because this feels like my year. Ive lost 105lbs and I am still pushing to my final goal..I love everything about my health and new found fitness ability. And I love that I have friends who feel inspired and have joined my journey.

  8. This year is my 20 yr high school reunion–I have been overweight my entire life!! I am down 88lbs to date (currently weighing what I did in high school) and my goal is to attend my reunion smaller (weighing 20lbs less) than I did in high school. I want to encourage and inspire the people that have only known “the fat me” to achieve more than they ever thought was possible! Hard work and dedication pays off and ITS NEVER TOO LATE!! Even after 20 years!!!

  9. This year, I’ve challenged myself to run more, exercise daily, live healthier and include my whole family in the process. I have a half marathon on March 16th that I’m stoked about! My 12yr old has decided to volunteer his time during the race to see what it’s about. I believe that part of his reason for him volunteering is because of my unspoken push in our household to be healthier and stronger and so that he knows what to expect when he enters the next one with me.

Another challenge – educating myself and my family on the importance of healthy food. We were so focused on what was convenient that we were filling our bodies with preservatives that weren’t benefiting us. My husband retired from the Marine Corps in September and he found the weight slowly adding to his waistline. I’m happy to be his motivation after he was motivation for so many for 20+ years.
