I am 34 years old and lost my mother four months ago. That was the hardest heartache I’ve ever had to endure. Instead of crawling into a cocoon and shutting life out, I decided to take control of something that has plagued me my entire life. I decided to really buckle down and lose weight. Instead of eating out everyday at lunch, I started taking my lunch and going to workout. My workouts vary from Zumba to boot camp to interval training. Also my diet has been overhauled as well. I am doing this for my health and because I remember my mom also cheering me on when I lost a few pounds or a dress size.
I would love to try these I have problems with my feet hurting when I work out and it’s to expensive to try new shoes all the time!
About 15 years ago I was injured during a back surgery left with the inability to walk. With a lot of PT and determination, and several more surgeries later I was able to walk unassisted. Last year at the age of 54 I took on a 3k race walking, very slowly! Now I am regularly walking/running in 5k races! I just celebrated my one year race anniversary and did the 8k instead of the 3k this year! Running and walking all the way. My doctor told me I could not run, but here I am signed up to run/walk a 10k in May! I train on trails daily and a good pair of trail shoes would be the ticket!
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win a pair of these shoes as I am working SO hard on losing this “extra person” I have been carrying around before my 50th birthday (October 17th)!!! I’m a single mom and because I work f/t, go to school f/t, have 3 daughters in college (3 specialists at the Mayo Clinic), and one of which with costly medical bills I have no extra funds…ever!! I am wearing tennis shoes that are TEN years old and the soles are coming off!! I’m dedicated to my success and transformation and these shoes would be an excellent tool to help be achieve my goal!! Thank you for your consideration!! P.S. I wear a size 11!!
This year I am going to continue to try to become the most fit and healthy me. To focus less on the scale and more on the activity. This will test both my mental and physical strengths. Physical, well that one is pretty clear…just keep pushing myself to do better. But the mental aspect…it is difficult to change your way of thinking when it comes to weight, fitness and health. When you feel negative about yourself and aren’t kind and forgiving to yourself, or don’t give yourself enough credit…these are some of the mental challenges I am facing this year.
So excitted going to the socal spartan run one on 9/14/14… I started running last week and my goal is to take turning 41 on with a bang! No more excusess! 40 pounds is my goal by the race in september. #PowellReebokGiveaway
I need a new pair of kicks for the muderella!!
I Started running this Year So I Can Compete In My First 5K In Sept. (And More After That!)
I Turn 42 This Year, Which Is My Lucky Number, So I Know It Is MY Year To Finally Dominate Dropping This Extra Weight!
I will be running my first Ultra Marathon this fall. I’m currently in training for my 2nd marathon and I want to push my physical and mental limits even farther so an Ultra is next on my checklist. Following year will be an Ironman 😀 Three years ago I had a hard time just walking my children down the street to the bus stop. #limitless
I am going to do an aquabike. When u turned 40 I did my first triathlon. I challenged myself to learn to swim. I’m still not a strong swimmer and I have injuries that don’t allow me to run. The squabble is the long course without the run. That’s a mile swim… More than I’ve ever swum before. Big challenge.
