  1. Hi. I am trying yet again to lose weight. I am now 41 and have had two back surgeries and am currently on disability. I am on opiates, have PCOS, and am getting steroid shots in my back every three months. My husband and I have been going to a local gym for 2 1/5 months. During this time my father who I took care of died, I was very sick, and I was scammed out of the money that my father left me in his will. I am still at the gym. It’s been hard to keep motivated to keep going but I weight 315 lbs. Despite the fact that I am eating clean, doing an hour cardio and thirty minutes of weight training I have not lost a single pound. So I’m ordering your book and I hope that it will be the solution. I can tell that I have gotten smaller as my clothes are looser but no pounds yet.

    1. Hi Amanda: I’m so, so sorry to hear about the loss of your father and all you’ve been going through. With all of your health problems, please discuss Chris and Heidi’s carb cycling program with your healthcare team first, and then follow any modifications they might recommend. They know your health history and can work with you on a one-on-one basis, and we want to keep you safe while you’re working to achieve your transformation goals. And Yay! for looser clothes – that’s awesome! You can do this!
