  1. Heidi,
I had vertical gastric sleeve surgery Dec 2012. My starting weight (pre-surgery was 314, day of surgery was 281 and today I am 250 lbs). I am pleased with the loss but not over joyed. I have difficulty exercising sufficiently everyday because of bad knees and 3 degenerating discs in my low back. I walk 1 kilometer in the pool 5 days a week but I know that isn’t enough. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can ramp up the exercise?

  2. I need to find workouts and exercises that I can do with multiple arthritic sites. I have osteoarthritis in both knees and doc said no squats, lunges, inclines; have had multiple surgeries on feet and have sever arthritis in both; also in areas of neck. Now I am developing it in one hand! However, I believe that exercise would be best therapy. In addition to helping ease flexibility I can loose weight and take pressure off knees and feet! The feet are what hinders me the most. I can deal with the rest but when its difficult to walk it is bad.
Compared to the show, I don’t need to loose that much weight. I am shooting for 40-50 pounds. I just feel I need guidance on how to best do this with my issues. If they can I know I can!!!!

  3. I’m definitely planning on the FIT Cycle once I hit my goal weight- I’m on the Classic Cycle from Chris Powell’s “Chose More, Lose More for Life”. 🙂

  4. I have lymphedema and I carry extra fat in calves and ankles and at elbows are there any exercises to really burn those fatty areas. I do cardio and weights, Zumba, running things like that. I am hoping to start massage to help with lymphatic drainage .

  5. I have about 30 lbs to lose all around the mid section. I have the carb cycling book form Chris I find it hard to do I can not tolerate shakes with milk or dairy. Any suggestions on drinks that are filling? I know its not a lot of weight but its an issue with me I wan to slim down. I walk and I have a desk job or 8 hours a day desperate to lose this. Thanks for any ideas anyone????

  6. I tried carb cycling before, but don’t enjoy the mood swings, on very low days I become very irritable. Any tips to overcome these swings?

  7. I read from the link posted but would love to learn more and understand the carb cycling more! The FIT carb cycle plan sounds like what I am looking for though. I don’t want to bulk, just loose extra body fat! I hope to win the book!
