Trending Tuesday: My Favorite Summer Leggings

I’ll be the first to admit (and often do admit!) that fashion isn’t my area of expertise. I am a trainer by trade, so if there is one thing I know, it’s workout gear. I mean…I practically live in the stuff! From shorts and tanks, to sports bras and yoga pants – this is my comfort zone. So when I say I’ve found an incredible, durable, super cute pair of leggings, you know it’s the real deal. I just got these new Reebok Dance Stud Leggings, and I’m struggling to find a reason to ever wear anything else! Comfortable, breathable, a great fit, and the print is perfect. What more can a girl ask for? I wore them recently for the Women’s Health and Domino Magazine Well-Thy Home event, and have since received handfuls of questions about them. I found mine here! Check them out before they sell out – they’re definitely a summer favorite!

Hey Heidi! Love your blog! I was curious about what shoes you’re wearing in this picture. They’re very cute and I was wondering which ones they were? Also, do you have any recommendation on casual shoes? I’m looking for some sporty looking casual shoes but any tips would be great! 🙂

Hi Stephanie: While I don’t have the exact info on the shoes Heidi is wearing, they are from Reebok. You can see all her faves here: I believe these might be CrossFit Nanos, so start there. And there are lots of casual but sporty shoes at Reebok too, and that’s where she gets all her sport/casual shoes. Hope that helps!

Hi Heidi – it was great meeting you at the Women’s Health Magazine events on Saturday. You are truly a great instructor and an inspiration. I published a post on my blog, Will Run For Miles ( ), with plenty of photos – including a few with you, and Chris and you, in it.

Those tights you were wearing are wonderful. A few people asked me what brand they are after seeing your photo on my blog, so that’s how I found this post. I expected some avant garde brand, and was surprised to learn they are Reebok. Then I looked at Reebok’s current designs and I see they are great.

speaking of really cool workout clothing – my two loves (in addition to the typical brands) are InknBurn ( and YMX by Yellowman (

Hi Delainey: I’m so sorry to hear about all you’ve been going through, and I can’t imagine how difficult this is for you! It is so hard to be a teen these days! You are constantly bombarded with images and advice on how and what you should do and be and look like, and most are very unrealistic. Heidi has addressed the teens and body image issue in this amazing post on her blog: In this post, she offers lots of helpful suggestions for both teens and those with teens in their lives, and I hope you can find some ideas that will help you develop healthy habits that will benefit you your entire life! And please discuss your health-related concerns with a parent or an adult close to you – a support system can be such an awesome resource as you’re working to achieve your health and fitness goals. Here’s another thing that might help you on your journey to get and stay healthy: One awesome tool Chris and Heidi use with every client is to make and keep a small, simple promise to yourself every day. This is truly a key to achieving any goal! Learn about the process here: What will your first promise be today? Make and keep that one, then make and keep one tomorrow, and so on. It works! Eat healthy foods in the right portions, get in regular activity, and any extra pounds should go away and you’ll have developed those healthy habits that will help you accomplish all your goals.
