Quick Holiday Workouts to Keep You Motivated

Hours to spend in the gym? Ain’t nobody got time for that! 😉 Especially this time of year!

There’s this big misconception that you need to spend a ton of time in the gym to see results. False. What you really need is a game plan. Shorter, more effective workouts can give you greater results than longer workouts. Period. It’s all about how you utilize that time and the effort you put forth.

Top Workouts to Keep You Motivated This Season

So…if you’re like most of the world and you’re finding you have literally zero time when it comes to working out, no problem. Here are some of my favorite + quick at-home workouts to give yourself the best gift this holiday season: health, fitness, and post-endorphin happiness. Need quick workouts? I’ve got you!

1. 20 Minute At-Home EMOM Workout: This 20 minute EMOM is one of my tried-and-true go-tos when I’m crunched for time. I’m a huge fan of EMOM-style  workouts (which means Every Minute on the Minute), and the name says it all: Every minute, at the start of a new minute, you’ll complete a move. This 20-minute circuit is made up of 5 different movements, each one dedicated to that minute time frame. You’ll complete the move for 40 seconds, and then rest for 20 seconds until the start of the next minute and the next move.

Need something a little shorter? Try this 12-Minute Sweat Session: Total Body AMRAP Workout.

2. Upper Body At Home Workout:  Not in a spot where you have access to equipment? Never a problem in my world! You know I’m the Queen of making it work with what I’ve got, right?! This workout focuses on body weight only plus the help of a makeshift dumbbell, aka a full water jug!

3. Asking Santa for a New Booty? This Booty Burner is for you: Needing to use those holiday carbs and turn them into booty gains? You’re my kinda’ gal. You can also do this one without the booty band. Just make sure you’re really paying attention to your form and the depth of your squats, squeezing those glutes every single rep!

See?! The proof is in the Figgy Pudding, my friends. You don’t need a ton of fancy equipment or an empty schedule to work on your goals AND do something good for YOU. All it takes is a little dedication, some consistency, and a little holiday spirit to make those fitness dreams a reality.

What’s your tried-and-true way for staying on track during the holidays? I’d love to hear what works for you!
