How to Begin Your Transformation Journey?Step by Step

Congratulations on choosing to begin your transformation journey! You have made a choice that will change your life?for the better?for many years to come. We want you to be successful, so Chris and I have made all of the tools we use with everyone we work with available for everyone to use in our books, Extreme Transformation and Choose More, Lose More for Life, and our TRANSFORM app. In both of our books, we?ve outlined everything you?ll need to do to reach your transformation goals, so let?s get started!

Step #1 Promises: The foundation of your transformation.

Making and keeping promises to yourself is the true secret to transformation, and it?s the most important step of your entire journey. Begin your journey today by making and keeping one small promise!

Step #2 Carb cycling: The nutrition plan that fires up your metabolism.

Carb cycling is a nutrition plan with alternating high and low-carb days that not only maximizes your metabolic burn, but it?s also extremely effective at speeding up weight loss while maintaining those fat-burning muscles. It adapts easily to your daily routine for weight loss success, and it helps you avoid that dreaded weight loss plateau. Thing is, I just finished one this month and I only lost a few pounds, so I lost the weigh in. Do you think it’s worth it to try again for the extra motivation or continue by myself? Thanks:)

    I am very excited to start my weight loss journey with both of you but I am nervous and VERY overwhelmed. I am extremely(365 pounds) overweight and it seems like such a far stretched dream to be a normal weight and it is very overwhelming. I am hoping with your support I can start to see a light in this very dark tunnel.
    Now for my question… I honestly have no idea where to start or what to do to start my weight loss journey. Do you have any tips for a “true beginner” on where to start. I also hate to admit this but I have very little money so do you have advice on “cheap, healthy meals and exercises”.

    1. Hi Ashley: You can find all the steps you need in this post. Your first step is to make and keep that first small, simple promise. Then choose a carb cycle, and go! It really is all about baby steps and small goals all along your journey. You can do this! 🙂

  3. I just wanted to send a thank you to both you and Chris. I enjoy watching your shows, and learning from them. I have recently started my own weight loss journey, although over all I’ve been blessed with a pretty high metabolism. With learning more about health and fitness, I’ve lost 15lbs since August, and have hit my goal weight of 145, being 5ft 8 inches tall. I just wanted to send my thanks, and look forward to more episodes, and the help that both you and Chris do!

    I hope you can help me with something. I started my weight loss journey a while ago and have been successful so far. But a lot of bad things have happenend to me lately and I fell back into old habits,mostly stress-eating.
    I want to stop it and have tried but right now I need help. CAn you tell me what I need to do differently?

    1. Hi Lara: You’ll want to discuss this with your healthcare team since they know the exact extent of your knee issues, but either a treadmill or an elliptical could work. The key is to go for low/no impact. Hope that helps!

    I am so inspired by Chris, Heidi and all people which took part in EWL.
    My name is Anna and I am Polish but I live in England.
    I always had problem with my weight- I meant that I am always been fat. I am 25 years old and my weight is 122,7 kg.
    Seen Chris and Heidi helped so many people on EWL I decide its my time to take my life in my hand and from 1 Nov this year I put for myself a goal to run every day for whole year, exercise and eat helthy.
    I was wondering if in 1 nov 2016 I become a successful then would be any possibility to sent somewhere emeil where Chris and Heidi would read?

    I’m a Cone shaped or V shaped women. Basically I have large breasts, broad shoulders, a tummy, but my legs and hips are small and slender! I’m 5’6 and 172 lbs, and I want to lose weight, so I started working out again, but I’m really concerned when it comes to working out my upper body with weights. I’m already large on top, and don’t want to get any bigger, as I’m already disproportioned, but I really want to tone my upper body too. Do you have any pointers or suggestions for me when it comes to my workouts? Thanks so much!

    1. Hi Lala: It’s really important that you do strength training for your whole body, and as you replace any fat with muscle, you should be good to go. If you’re concerned about bulking up, use lighter weights and do more reps. You can do this! 🙂
