Congratulations on choosing to begin your transformation journey! You have made a choice that will change your life?for the better?for many years to come. We want you to be successful, so Chris and I have made all of the tools we use with everyone we work with available for everyone to use in our books, Extreme Transformation and Choose More, Lose More for Life, and our TRANSFORM app. In both of our books, we?ve outlined everything you?ll need to do to reach your transformation goals, so let?s get started!
Step #1 Promises: The foundation of your transformation.
Making and keeping promises to yourself is the true secret to transformation, and it?s the most important step of your entire journey. Begin your journey today by making and keeping one small promise!
Step #2 Carb cycling: The nutrition plan that fires up your metabolism.
Carb cycling is a nutrition plan with alternating high and low-carb days that not only maximizes your metabolic burn, but it?s also extremely effective at speeding up weight loss while maintaining those fat-burning muscles. It adapts easily to your daily routine for weight loss success, and it helps you avoid that dreaded weight loss plateau. And in carb cycling, you get reward days or meals (depending on the cycle you?re following), so you can still eat your favorite foods from time to time! Awesome, right?!
Learn about the basics of carb cycling, then explore and choose one of the five different cycles: Easy, Classic, Turbo, Fit, and Extreme (the newest member of our carb cycling family). And don?t worry! You can change cycles at any time?it?s that flexible!
Step #3 Exercise: Move your body to accelerate weight loss.
In addition to a sound?and simple to follow?nutrition plan (like carb cycling), you?ll need an effective?and realistic?exercise program to help you reach your transformation goals. Chris and I have put together just the program for you! It combines strength training (for muscle development and maintenance) and cardio (for accelerating calorie burn), to turn your body into a maximum calorie-burning machine. And we?ve outlined everything you?ll need to do?step-by-step?every single day! So learn about the basics and benefits of exercise first, and then get moving today!
When you put all of this together, your journey becomes whole. Take a look at the stereogram image above. This captures the essence of transformation so beautifully. Before you shift your focus, all you see is a chaotic mess of dumbbells and food. Basically, it is the confusing mess of every single diet and exercise program out there for weight loss. But once you shift your focus, the 3-D path of true transformation?and lifelong weight loss?becomes clear.

Hiya Heidi,
Hopefully u can cheer me up. Having a bad day. Im on my 2nd week of your ‘Extreme Transformation’ book and i love it. 1st i pushed myself and did more than the 5 mins minimum everyday (up to 30mins). Today i did only 10 mins minimum and im on my second week. Could i still lose weight at this rate if i just stick to the minimum? I know i can do more but i am feeling low with lifes distractions.
Thank you so much!
Hi Hals: You can lose weight with a minimum of exercise, but the pounds will come off faster the more movement you can get in. Maybe make a promise to yourself to get in 15 minute of exercise a day. You can do this!
Hi from The Netherlands,
I have all 3 books. Read the first 2 but didn’t do anything with it. Currently reading the 3rd one and it’s time to actually do more than just read it. But my biggest struggle the past almost 2 years is… i can’t even keep the most simple tiniest little promise to myself. No matter what the subject. It frustrates the hell out of me and it scares me. I will have to find my transformation team online. So i was wondering if there is a forum or a community page you guys have besides the facebookpages and this website where like minded ppl can come together and chat and help each other out. I think i do have a super friend irl but i will have to talk to her first to see if she is willing to take on that role.
Thank you!
Hi Natalie: We don’t have a community page besides right here on this blog and on Facebook, but both can be helpful! You can do this!
That would be me!
I’m the same way too! I’ve bought and read, re-read all of Chris’ books and watched Heidi everywhere I could find her. I go in and out due to health problems but maintain the diet fairly easily! I just can’t keep my promises to myself for working out. I have no income so can’t get health club membership or pay a trainer. I need to figure out how to do this! I love reading all the REAL TALK HERE. Thank you, Natalie!!!
Hiya,
According to the ‘Extreme Transformation’ book, how many servings is each recipe?
Thank you!
Hi Hals: Unless it says differently, each recipe is one serving. 🙂
Hius Heidi,
Just bought the ‘Extreme Transfornation’ book and so excited to get started. However im feeling a bit overwhelmed by the recipes in the book as im not really familiar with many of the ingredients. Would it be such a big deal if i just change things a little? (This is mainly referring to the seasonings) Any tips would be highly appreciated please!
Thank you so much!!!
Hi Hals: You can change the seasonings if you’d like as long as they are no-calorie seasonings. And here’s a post that offers several meal planning options for the Extreme Cycle: https://heidipowell.net/10617.
Hi Heidi, my name is Lauren and I’m looking to not only get myself healthier but also my family. I suffered a bad knee injury 8 years ago and opted to not have surgery. I went from being extremely active, running 3-5 miles a day to hardly being able to walk. The transition from active to nothing really took a toll on me and I have gained 50 pounds over the course of 8 years. I had surgery 2.5 years ago which helped eleviate the pain and get me a little more active again. I was doing really well trying to eat healthy and being able to actually move after the surgery and then I had my second son. At 1 day old he was diagnosed with cancer and we have spent the last 22 months taking care of him and his needs. My needs were put on the back burner and everything I had lost, about 30 of the 50 pounds came right back. Part of the problem I have is that from the injuries I had, I have developed arthritis in both my knees that keeps me from really being able to walk some days. I need help finding a great way to get my entire family healthier, what is the best way to get a family to start making healthier choices? I guess I should say my oldest is 4 years and my youngest 22 months and the biggest kid of all, my husband, is the hardest to get to try healthy foods. I mentioned quinoa once and he about fell out of his chair. Thank you!
Hi Lauren: Thank you for your comment, and we hope your little one is doing better. All the steps you and your husband need to begin and achieve your transformation are in this post, and please discuss this program with your healthcare team first and then follow any modifications they might recommend, especially where exercise is concerned. For your kids, they will follow your example as you begin to incorporate healthy habits into your own life; however, for nutrition, they need proteins, carbs, and healthy fats at every meal, so please keep this in mind. And hopefully, your husband will follow your example too. 😉 You can do this!

Hi Veronica: Here’s a post that Heidi wrote specifically for teens, and I hope it can give you some ideas on how you can develop those health habits that will benefit your now and throughout your life: https://heidipowell.net/7201. You can do this!
Heidi- Do you all have some one in Knoxville TN to come train staff of 3 Medical Clinics in Extreme Weight Loss?
I’m so sorry, but we don’t. But they can learn about Chris and Heidi’s carb cycling program with all the tools in this post!
Hi chris and Heidi … I have a question for you guys.. I didn’t really want to write on a site where everyone can read it.. I’m sort of a private person when it comes to weight. I was hoping your site would give me a private email to write to you.
Hi Jannet: The best way to contact Heidi is to leave a post on her FB wall, or here’s her other contact info: https://heidipowell.net/contact-me/. 🙂
