It is with so much excitement and pleasure that I bring you this HUGE news! Chris? and my book, Extreme Transformation: Lifelong Weight Loss in 21 Days, is SO close to being done! So close, in fact, that we FINALLY have a book cover!!! YAY! This book is truly the best one yet. While Chris and I have always been a team, and I have helped contribute to the planning, ideas, and content of the previous two books, this is the FIRST book that he and I are actual co-authors on. This is truly a dream come true for me?a dream I never even knew I had until I started this crazy ride with my man!
We are so proud of the work we have put into this book. Along with the many, many, MANY hours, we have literally poured our blood, sweat, tears, and years of experience into these pages. We know our comprehensive guide to transformation will change millions of lives, and cannot wait for you all to get your hands on a copy!
The book can be found on stands December 22, 2015, but until then, you can preorder Extreme Transformation: Lifelong Weight Loss in 21 Days on Amazon.
Thanks for your continued love and support. Without it, none of this would be possible!
Xoxo,
Heidi

First of all- so far I’m loving the recipes, I’m an week and a half in and cudos to making meal plans that are actually tasty! A couple of things I would suggest though- on meal prep days it says nothing about putting bananas in the freezer ahead of time- so when I get to a shake that requires a frozen banana I had to use a non frozen. Not the end of he world. I’m wiser now and sifting though the recipes to prep the frozen banana ahead of time. A couple things I’ve noticed so far – creamy cauliflower soup has no instruction on when to add the chicken FYI. And turkey Thai cabbage salad is a little odd that the ingredients under the cabbage part are cooked squash and zucchini- didn’t seem like it went with the title of “cabbage salad” is that an error?? I bought the ebook off iTunes.
Also a suggestion for future. It would be nice if the weekly shopping list items also had which recipes it was from(and which day) on the same page. It has been tedious to go though each day then back though the recipes to know if I can substitute something else or if something is an integral part of that meal, or when exactly I need a particular bread item (I like fresh day of baked items ie hamburger bun or pitas or corn tortillas) example would be week two has a tomatillo which the store only had 5 large in a pkg (didn’t want to spend the money to waste) but going back to the recipe I found there was a green pepper substitute- only after going though each day of that week to find which meal had the tomatillo in it, then sifting though the recipes pages. I know that doesn’t seem that hard but as a mother of 3 under the age of four, time, even seconds is precious. It would just be nice if it had said tomatillo and in another column for the recipe of . . . And meal #3 on day 6. Then it would just streamline. I hope that makes sense!! But don’t get me wrong, I love the food and program so far!!
Hi Robyn: Yes, we noticed those issues in those recipes. For the cauliflower soup, add the chicken with the broth. For the cabbage recipe, we’re working on fixing that recipe too. And thank you for your other suggestions also. Here’s a post that might also help you with your meal planning on the Extreme Cycle: https://heidipowell.net/10617. 🙂
Hi Team Powell!
A friend of mine has turned me on to to your program as I am 9months post partum and have some baby weigt to loose. I am very excited as this program has given me hope! However, I’m curious if the meal plan is safe and conducive to breastfeeding. Breastfeeding my son through his first year would take precedence too loosing weight. So I’m curious if there is enough calorie intake to keep a healthy milk supply?
Hi Taylor: Here’s a post that outlines Heidi’s breastfeeding nutrition plan: http://heidpipowell.net/2275. I hope it will help you figure out what will work best for you!
I’ve begun the Extreme Transformation program and am loving it; however, I can’t seem to find Ezekiel bread in the frozen section of my supermarket. Is there somewhere else it can be found? Is there another alternative that would work.
Hi Megan: Look for a similar whole grain bread that has around 80 calories, 15g carbs, 3g fiber, and 4g protein per slice.
Folks,
Firstly great book “lifelong weight loss in 21 days”
Appendix A has a 21 day planner/tracker.
Would be great of you had this a printable worksheet.
I just purchased the Kindle version from Amazon and so far it seems to be a great plan, one that I can actually accomplish. I’m looking forward to starting on Monday.
A downloadable / printable 21 Day Tracker would be very helpful so I can tick off the meals, accomplishments, etc. and make notes. Is one available? If not, this would be very handy and something I’m sure participants would be willing to purchase for an additional fee.
Hi Janice: Welcome to carb cycling! At this time, we don’t have downloadable forms. Good luck – you can do this!
So excited to read your Extreme Transformation! Doing meal prep today and starting tomorrow! What is the serving size for the lemon poppyseed bars? Recipe says it makes 12 bars, is 1 bar a serving? It doesn’t seem like it would be 150 calories
Hi Becky: 4 bars is a serving for women, and 6 bars is a serving for men. Enjoy!
I’m with Becky. My husband and I are doing it together. I wish each recipe would specify what is considered a serving. We made the butternut chili last night and kind of guessed what each of us were to have. We, too weren’t sure about how many bars, so we only did one bar as a serving. Any suggestions would be awesome. Haven’t seen much of a change (only on day 3) but enjoy spending time meal prepping with my husband and eating healthier!
Hi Team Powell! I bought Extreme Transformation and love the ideas in the book. I’m going to give carb cycling a try. I’m a super busy mom of two who works full time. I don’t have time to make a new recipe for every meal like your book lays out. Does your book give a simple way to pull together a meal? I didn’t see any instructions given on how to create a meal and I would think that’s a fundamental lesson for lifelong weight loss. Please help!
Krysten
Hi Krysten: Yes, the book does show you how to put your meals together. Check out Day 4, as well as page 28. And you can also substitute any high-carb recipe for any high-carb recipe (the same for low-carb and clean cheats), so you can double prep if you want to. And the food list at the back of the book is also a very helpful tool for putting your own meals together. Good luck – you can do this!
Hello Team Powell,
My wife and I bought your latest book extreme transformations as an AudioBook and it said it came with a PDF for more information but it does not download with the Audio how do we get the PDF.
Hi Phil: Sometimes the PDF can be tricky to find. Here are a couple of things you can do: 1) Contact the help center where you purchased your audio book or 2) Contact the publisher’s help center: [email protected]. We wish you both the best!
Hi. I just purchased your book. Can’t wait to get started. I have about 20 pounds in total that I would like to lose. I have kind of a silly question..can I complete this 21 days while lifting(a little heavy) at the gym as well? Or will that affect my results? Curious because I’m a newbie to this whole thing and recently started at a gym. Thanks in advance!
You should be fine! Your lifting program will take the place of the Metabolic Missions. You can do this!
I have a question. I get up at 6 eat around 6:30. I have to take my lunch at 11. Should I try and eat a snack in between there or can I eat my two snacks spaced out after lunch?
Hi Lindsey: Yes, it would be good to eat a snack in between. Learn more about how to schedule your meals in this blog post: https://heidipowell.net/10556/ask-the-powells-how-can-i-structure-my-meals-2/. Hope it helps! 🙂
