Gosh, every single time I look at all these amazing results from last years America’s Fittest Couple Challenge, I am floored! My husband is an officer out of town. So he is home 4 days on and 4 days off. On those mornings he is home we hit the trails and he walks while I jog. I’m so short that my jogging is about the pace of his walking ?.
We both started in the 300s and now are in our 200s. I couldn’t have done this journey without him. Our son has autism and we wanted to do this for him so we could be around for a long time.
My hubby and I love doing anything active together but what we really love is pushing each other and watching each other make it through to the other side. Whether it’s hiking a steep trail or increasing weight at the gym. We work out harder when we are together and we love it.
My workout buddy is my sister. No significant other in my life currently but my sister and I go to Crossfit together and have a wonderful love/hate relationship with those workouts. They are always such a good challenge and it incorporates strength training besides just a workout to get the heart rate elevated.
When we’re not taking turns watching the boys (while he does basketball or I weightlift), we enjoy riding bikes, hiking, and enjoying Colorado’s fresh air with our two little ones!
We love running, biking, hiking, and lifting weights. Better connection when we are active together.
My hubby and I love to do our HIIT workouts videos together to keep each other motivated. A couple that works out together stays stronger together!
Well I love working out! My husband… not so much. Only because he works so much that he’s always too tired! ? but I would love him to be my work out buddy and this just might convince him to do it! Haha
Kenneth Smiley (my son) and I love to dancw together! We are part of a folk dance group here in Costa Rica, and we have been dancing together for 4 years now 🙂 It is not only about exercising but have fun!
When we first got married we would do all the things. Hiking, rappelling, canyoneering, bouldering. We love adventure. Then we had 3 kids in 4 years. We still love all those things, it’s just finding the time these days. Our favorite, when we can is to go on a hike, just the two of us.
My fianc? and I love to meal prep together from our transform app together! We make time to shop every Saturday and meal prep on Sunday’s ! It is amazing to be able to help each push through workouts and life to be better and healthy for our kids! We are getting married in may and can not wait to start the challenge. I believed this will be amazing motivation for both of us.
